Who arE W.E?
Women's Empowerment Group is non-profit women’s support and networking organization that provides opportunities for women in business to connect and grow.
The organization is a group of business women that offers a supportive, fun, and social organization structured to help you achieve your business and personal goals.
Our membership is composed of small business owners and women in business. These are the women who want to give back to the community.
We feel that there are many needs for women in our community that are not being met. Part of the problem is government cutbacks in social services.
We will eventually offer free educational classes to women in need of our support. They may be women coming from an abusive relationship or someone who finds herself out in the work force for the first time. We will also offer classes on parenting, budgeting, nutrition, and health. We will also provide informational services to the women in need in our community. Currently, we provide support to the Women's Haven----a shelter for women and children with no place to go who are coming out of bad relationships.
The focus of our group is to offer support to displaced women and children in our community. We are planning our first conference in May 21, 2010. We will have inspirational speakers to address women attendees from all walks of life. We plan to use this opportunity to raise awareness about social needs that are unmet, and to ask for help from other professionals in our community.
NETWORKING WITH PURPOSE
Our non-profit organization will provide workshops, clothing donation and help center for our community. We now donate to the local women’s safe house and to the women and children in the community.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
WE offer support and education for women in business through special presentations and guest speakers and the opportunity to be involved in a women’s organization that gives back to the community
We bring a variety of topics to our meetings to increase personal growth, community knowledge, sales and networking. We share business tips and tools to gain knowledge about all aspects of operating a business or advice for today’s working women, most importantly, we form lasting relationships.
